Lodge Expansion Keeps the Fun Growing

A good thing is about to get better!

Nowhere is the energy and spirit of Jubilee more apparent than at the Jubilee Lodge. The Lodge serves as the social and recreational hub for the community and includes barbecues, fitness center, game room, ballroom, and indoor swimming pool and spa.

The Lodge is so popular, residents requested that rather than build a second recreation center elsewhere in the community, as was originally planned, the existing Lodge be expanded to accommodate more people and activities.

“They have made, and continue to make, so many great new friends that they didn’t want to split up the community into two recreation centers,” said Laurie Madland, Executive Director of the Community Associations and Jubilee Lodge Manager. “So we’re expanding the Lodge by approximately 8,800 square feet, increasing the size of the ballroom, doubling the size of the fitness room and adding a completely new special events center. Homeowners are thrilled with the plans.”

Scheduled for completion in 2007, the $1.5+ million expansion is planned so it won’t hinder current activities in the Lodge.

“We are building around the Lodge so residents won’t be impacted by the construction until we finally punch through the walls in the final stages of construction. That way we won’t hamper the fun and activity of the homeowners – not that anyone could even if they wanted to,” said Laurie Madland.

“The Lodge truly epitomizes the heart and soul of Jubilee. There’s always a full calendar of things to do – everything from water aerobics to movies to line dancing. Our homeowners take having fun very seriously!” The Lodge also hosts many community celebrations. “We pretty much use any excuse to throw a party. Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, we even had a luau in February. Everyone had a great time.”
