You Meet The Nicest People At 30,000 Feet
When Joan and Curt Pintler boarded the
jet to visit their second home in Phoenix,
little did they know when they deplaned
they would have some new neighbors
to welcome back home in Lacey at Jubilee.
The couple has logged quite a few
“frequent flier miles” between their two
homes but they never imagined that one
of those flights would result in “selling”
another passenger on Jubilee.
Joan explained that she and her husband,
Curt, struck up a casual conversation with
the woman seated next to them when the
subject of where they lived came up. “I
told her that we lived at Jubilee and she
said she had seen the television commercials
for the community,” says Joan. “She also mentioned
that she and her husband were looking
to downsize.”
Joan encouraged the woman to visit Jubilee,
noting that the community had a wide selection
of home designs – from small to large.
Over the course of the flight, the woman asked
and Joan volunteered why she loves living
here. “I told her about the wonderful community
camaraderie and full social calendar.
You can’t get bored at Jubilee,” says Joan,
who moved here in 2004. “If you can’t find
something you enjoy doing, then you simply
aren’t looking hard enough. The wonderful
get-togethers and events allow you to meet
your neighbors in a relaxed atmosphere and
everyone I run into I really like.”
You don't have to be at 30,000 ft
to meet friendly people
That “everyone” now includes her fellow
traveler in the next seat of the plane, who
has purchased a Jubilee home and has seen
Joan at various functions. “I’ve run into her
and her husband on occasion and she tells
me that I’m the reason they moved here.
They love it here too.”
It’s that level of enthusiasm that sets Jubilee
apart from other active adult communities.
Residents will go to any length – or altitude
– to tout its merits.
