Take a Quiet Walk Through the Woods
All the Way to the Sound
People gather to enjoy a nice
stroll to the water at the Hawks
Prairie Trail grand opening!
There’s simply nothing like a leisurely walk
in the woods. It clears the mind, inspires
the soul and lifts the spirit. When Jubilee
residents want to “commune with nature”
they need only step outside, and onto, the
new Hawks Prairie Trail.
Opened last Fall, the Hawks Prairie Trail
is a 2.3 mile, private, paved trail that
meanders around the northern edge of the
community through a wooded canopy and
on to the rocky shores of Puget Sound.
Named after Hawks Prairie namesake, John
Hawks, the trail is a comfortable, nearly
flat, paved path. This makes for an easy
walk or an invigorating workout — your
choice!
Benches made of environmentally sensitive
recycled materials are located along the
trail for relaxation, quiet introspection or
to chat with friends. In addition, kiosks
at the two entrances and along the trail
provide indigenous plant information, a
trail map, site history and litter baskets.
The Hawks Prairie Trail is one more way
Jubilee connects its residents to the beauty
of the Northwest and the opportunities for
an active and vibrant lifestyle.
