Strong home sales at Jubilee, Edgewater continue into new year

Active Adult buyers helped Jubilee average one sale every 2.5 days in 2005

Lacey, WA — Quality homes, a pleasant setting and reasonable prices drew more than 200 new home buyers to Jenamar Communities properties in Lacey in 2005.

Jubilee at Hawks Prairie, an Active Adult community for people age 55 or better, sold 145 homes last year.

“That’s an average of one sale every 2.5 days, and we’re starting 2006 at an even faster pace,” says Christine Bachman, Vice President of Marketing for Jenamar Communities.

As of Dec. 31, the growing Jubilee community had sold 349 homes. About 500 people now live at Jubilee. The activity calendar at the Jubilee Lodge continues to grow as residents organize social events, recreational programs, clubs and community projects.

Of the 13 flexible floor plans available at Jubilee, the Woodlands model at 1,688 square feet was the most popular choice for buyers in 2005. Many buyers also chose to enhance their new homes with upgrades such as maple cabinets, Berber carpeting and higher-end appliances.

Thousands of people visited Jubilee in 2005, and owners look forward to a steady stream of potential guests this year, too. Special tours, outdoor concerts and a residents’ referral program are planned to introduce new people to the wonderful living at Jubilee.

Adjacent to Jubilee, Jenamar is building a variety of homes in the Edgewater community. The company sold the first phase of homes in Heritage at Edgewater several months earlier than anticipated. The second phase of Heritage opened in late 2005, and the community now has 81 home sales on the books.

Two new sections of Edgewater will open in 2006. Traditions at Edgewater, which started pre-sales this month, will include 108 spacious family homes. And for those seeking executive-level housing in the South Sound, The Estates at Edgewater will be worth a visit. All 21 homesites at The Estates border a golf course and have views of Mount Rainier. The Estates sites open for sale in April.

Residents in all the Edgewater communities will have access to three private parks: two 1-acre parks and one 3-acre park with ball fields, a gazebo, picnic areas and playground.

Private community trails are another outdoor feature for Edgewater residents. Homeowners will have access to private trails throughout the property, including a trail to the shores of Puget Sound.
