Jubilee Lodge: Bigger and better
At Jubilee, there’s always something to do – friends gathering, yoga, book club, bocce, golf … the list goes on and on. Now there’s even more room for active adults age 55 or better, thanks to the recent expansion of the Jubilee Lodge.
The construction project, which wrapped up in January, expanded the Lodge to nearly 26,000 square feet.
“We had originally planned to build a second Lodge for our residents, rather than expanding the existing facility,” says Christine Bachman, vice president of marketing at Jubilee. “But our residents didn’t want to divide the community that way. They like having one central gathering place and we listened to them.”
Jubilee Lodge, the heart of the community, is where residents participate in hundreds of activities ranging from fitness classes to wine tasting, line dancing to bocce. A glance at Jubilee’s monthly resident newsletter lists more than 30 clubs holding gatherings. The Lodge also plays host to frequent special events, birthday potlucks and holiday celebrations.
The revamped recreation and event facility features a new activity center, expanded fitness center and larger ballroom, as well as more office and locker room space. Highlights include the following:
- The multipurpose ballroom was expanded by 1,150 square feet, with a larger dance floor and partitions to divide part of the space into three rooms with additional storage.
- A new activity center added nearly 2,000 square feet for exercise classes, meetings, social functions and more. The versatile space has a mirrored wall, theater-style seating for 150, a projection screen and storage.
- An additional 1,000 square feet was added to the fitness center, allowing for more exercise equipment.
- Enhancements were made to the locker rooms adding more showers to the already existing lockers/changing area and sauna.
- A new bocce court with two lanes was added next to the existing bocce area near the Lodge patio.
- A beautiful library with comfortable seating areas warmly invites residents to relax and enjoy one of the hundreds of books or to simply visit with neighbors.
- Offices, storage, a beautiful library space and more restrooms were added.
Jubilee residents celebrated the Lodge expansion with a private event in January.
The community’s 13 floor plans, all craftsman-style, single-level homes, range in size from 1,200 to 2,500 square feet. Since sales commenced in 2003, 591 homes have been sold at Jubilee. Construction is expected to be completed in 2012 with a total of 1,170 homes spread among thirteen villages.
Interested home buyers are welcome to experience the Jubilee lifestyle with a full tour of the Lodge, the community and nine furnished model homes Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
