Growing Fast: Jubilee Celebrates Sale
of 400th Home
Active Adult community in Lacey averaging five sales per week in 2006
Lacey, WA — Home sales are sizzling in this part of Thurston County, where Jubilee at Hawks Prairie, a community for Active Adults, has sold its 400th home. Since the beginning of the year, home sales at Jubilee are averaging five per week.
“People are drawn to our complete package of quality homes and active, vibrant lifestyle,” says Christine Bachman, Vice President of Marketing for Jenamar Communities. “Jubilee seems to be just what Active Adults are looking for.”
Bachman said Jubilee has sold 53 homes so far this year. About 75 percent of the buyers are coming from Thurston, Pierce and King counties. About 15 percent are moving here from other parts of Washington. Six new home buyers are coming from out of state.
Home buyers can choose from 13 flexible floor plans at Jubilee. All are one-story homes that feature plenty of natural light, low maintenance and open space for comfortable living. Buyers choose the colors, carpet, fixtures and other design features to fit their lifestyles. Homes range from 1,156 square feet to 2,584 square feet and are priced in the $200,000s to the $500,000+.
At its completion, Jubilee will have about 1,100 single-family homes and approximately 1,900 residents. Home values have increased an average of 25 percent since Jubilee started presales in August 2003.
Visitors can tour the eight fully furnished showcase homes daily and envision the possibilities!
In addition to “building” their ideal home, buyers choose Jubilee for its Active Adult amenities. The community is adjacent to two championship golf courses and miles of walking trails.
The 18,000 square-foot Jubilee Lodge is busy from sunrise to evening with exercise classes, book clubs, card games, parties, off-site trips, dances, swimming and so much more.
This fall, a private trail to Puget Sound will be completed. The trail is designed for exclusive use by the residents of the Hawks Prairie Master Plan, of which Jubilee is the primary community.
