Jubilee chosen as a top 100 master-planned community
‘Where to Retire’ applauds outdoor recreation and lively community scene
Calling the community “a gem of the Pacific Northwest,” a national magazine chose Jubilee at Hawks Prairie among “America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities.”
Where to Retire magazine listed the residential community for active adults age 55 or better in its July-August 2007 edition.
“Jubilee residents say that every day is Saturday because they enjoy a range of fun activities available on a daily basis,” said Christine Bachman, marketing vice president for Jenamar Communities, Jubilee’s developer. Currently, nearly 1,000 people call Jubilee home.
The 500-acre community of Craftsman-style, single-story homes opened in spring 2003. At its completion, Jubilee will have 1,170 single-family homes, offering 13 flexible floor plans and thousands of design options.
Where to Retire was impressed with the mountain views, green space and the community’s lively social scene of parties, dances, movies and concerts. The article also noted the proximity to a 2.3-mile, private paved trail to the Puget Sound and two championship golf courses.
The recreation center, Jubilee Lodge, is expanding this year to 25,000 square feet and will include more space for classes, special events and group meetings. Jubilee Pavilion Park opened recently as well and includes two tennis courts.
“Residents have the freedom to retire in an active and comforting community where they can meet friends and make lasting memories,” Bachman said.
