Local Sources Point to Hot Real Estate
In March, The Olympian reported that not only did Thurston County home sales rise by 5 percent in February of this year, but the median price of homes is expected to continue to rise throughout the year.
In February, 263 homes were sold compared to 250 for the same period last year. According to the new real estate Internet service, Zillow.com, homes in Thurston County increased in value by 22 percent in 2005 compared to 12 percent in 2004. That’s above the state average of 19 percent. This trend does not appear to be slowing down as more and more people are drawn to the dynamic lifestyle and outstanding values of the South Sound region.
