LACEY, Wash. – If today’s autos don’t inspire you, plan for the Rods, Dogs & Hogs Classic Car Show THIS SUNDAY, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jubilee Lodge in Hawks Prairie.
The second annual Rods, Dogs & Hogs is hosted by Jubilee at Hawks Prairie, a master planned community for active adults age 55 or better. The classic car show celebrates all pre-1975 vehicles & cars will be on display from all over the Puget Sound area. Admission is free for spectators.
Last year, nearly 500 people came to see 67 vintage cars, from a 1923 Model T Ford to a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Organizers expect 100 cars this year.
In addition to Best of Show, trophies will be handed out in a variety of categories. Guests will be able to vote for their favorites, too, including “Hottest muscle car” and “Most fun to take to the drive-in.” All cars will receive a special dash plaque.
"We have something for everyone – from hot rods to perfectly restored vintage Chevrolets," says Jubilee resident Jim Pringle.
In addition to raffles, food vendors and other entertainment, guests can participate in a Poker Walk through Jubilee’s model homes. Visitors can draw a playing card in each of five homes, with their resulting poker hand eligible for a cash prize at the end of the show. Proceeds from the raffles will go to the American Diabetes Association.
Rods, Dogs & Hogs takes place in the parking lot of the Jubilee Lodge, 8487 Bainbridge Loop NE, Lacey. We're looking forward to seeing you at Rods,Dogs & Hogs on THIS SUNDAY, Aug 24th
